High values of correlation coefficients exist between clearness index with relative sunshine duration and cloud cover in a proposed new model equations. In this work, fourteen meteorological stations: Bauchi, Bida, Enugu, Gusau, Ikom, Jos, Kano, Maiduguri, Minna, Nguru, Yelwa, Yola and Zaria were considered. For most of the stations studied, adjusted coefficient of determination, was obtained, standard error of estimate Se < 0.005 and largest percentage error, except for Gusau and Zaria which have 0.3% and 2.9% respectively when seasonal variations are considered.Read More
