Analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences among the accessions for all the parameters under study. From the variability studies very high genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation were recorded for grain yield per plant under late sown condition indicating the importance of these traits in evaluation for drought tolerance and selecting the genotypes for future hybridization programme. The traits like 1000-grain weight and grain yield per plant showed high heritability coupled with high genetic advance as per cent of mean. Hence, direct selection can be done through these characters for future improvement of genotypes under late sown condition.Read More
