Study revealed sufficient variability was present in the germplasm for almost all the characters. High heritability with moderate to high genetic advance were recorded for 100-seed weight, seed/plant and seed yield/plant. Correlation and path analysis indicated that number of pods/plant, number of branches/plant, plant height and 100-seed weight could be useful as selection indices for development of high yielding genotypes of chickpea.Read More
