Abstract: Liver steatosis is an important diagnostic parameter in patients with chronic liver disease (CLD). The controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) is a non-invasive method of assessment of liver steatosis using transient elastography. This article represents a case of a patient who presented with trombocytopenia, splenomegaly, obesity. We used all diagnostic tools including liver biopsy and non- invasive methods of assessment of liver steatosis. Grade 2 of liver steatosis was established by with elastography and confirmed by liver biopsy and fibrotests.
