Title: Expression of STAT3、Survivin and VEGF in Gastric Cancer Tissues
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of STAT3,Survivin and VEGF in gastric cancer and its correlation with the clinicopathological features. Methods SABC immunohisto-logical staining was used to detect the expression of STAT3,Survivin and VEGF in 56 cases with gastric cancer tissues and cancer around tissues. Results The expression rate of STAT3,Survivin and VEGF in 56 cases with gastric cancer tissues were 75.0 %,71.4% and 76.8% respectively, much higher than that of cancer around tissues (P0.01).The expression rate in phase Ⅲ and Ⅳ of gastric cancer was much higher than that of phase Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P0.01).The expression rates in serous membrane invasion of gastric wall, lymph nodes metastasis, poorly differentiated and undifferentiated gastric cancers were higher than that of no membrane invasion,no metastasis and mederately and well differentiated gastric cancers (P0.05).Positive correlation was found between the expressions of STAT3、Survivin and VEGF.Conclusion STAT3,Survivin and VEGF play an important role in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer.Survivin and VEGF might be functioning on antiapoptosis through the regulation of STAT3 protein.
