Title: THE STUDY OF INFLUENCE OF LEFT VENTRICULAR REMODELLING CAUSED BY ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION ON CARDIAC FUNCTION
Abstract: Objective: To study the influence of the left ventricular (LV) remodelling caused by essential hypertension on cardiac function. Methods: By means of colour echocardiography to measure the cardiac structure and function of the 226 cases of patients with essential hypertension and 51 cases of control subjects. Results: Normal pattern and concentric remodelling groups: Blood pressure (BP) increase slightly,the systolic function of LV is normal. Concentric hypertrophy group: BP is higher than that of the other three groups, the LV systolic function stays in the subclinical condition, the myocardial contractility damaged seriously. Eccentric hypertrophy group: Ejection fraction (EF)、 endocardial fractional shortening (FS) and midwall fraction shortening (mFS) are the lowest, LV diastolic function fall down obviously. Conclusion: The different changes of the LV function in the four groups lead to the different treatment and prognosis.;
