Title: Effect of Curcumin on IL-17-Induced CCL20 Expression in Human Keratinocytes
Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of curcumin on IL-17-induced CCL20 expression in human keratinocyte cell lines,HaCaT cells. Methods HaCaT cells were stimulated with IL-17 and incubated with different concentrations of curcumin(2.5μmol/L,5μmol/L,10μmol/L) for 24h.To determine the effect of curcumin on CCL20 expression at mRNA and protein levels, fluorescence quantitative PCR and ELISA were performed. Results IL-17 led to the upregulation of CCL20 expression in HaCaT cells. After incubation with curcumin, the expression of CCL20 were down-regulated at mRNA(P0.05) and protein(P0.05) levels significantly. Conclusion Curcumin can lead to the downregulation of IL-17-induced CCL20 expression in HaCaT cells, thus provides a theoretical basis for the treatment of psoriasis.
