Title: The angiographic characteristics and clinical characteristic in patients with the impaired glucose regulation(IGR)
Abstract: Objective To study the angiographic characteristics and clinical characteristic in patients with the impaired glucose regulation(IGR).Methods A total of 125 cases with coronary heart disease were divided into the normal glucose tolerance group(NGT 35 cases),impaired glucose tolerance group(IGT 51 cases) and type 2diabetes mellitus group(T2DM 39 cases),according to oral glucose tolerance test;the fasting plasma glucose, two hour postprandial blood glucose after taking 75g oral glucose, total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),BUN,creatinine(CR) were detected, meanwhile all cases were examined by coronary angiography. Results There were no significant differences in situations(including age, sex, smoking, hypertension)(P 0.05),but there were significant differences in higher fasting blood glucose, two hour postprandial blood glucose,BMI,TG(P 0.05) and lower HDL-C(P 0.05) glucose among three groups. The changes of coronary arteries of patients of Group IGT and Group T2DM were severer, more multivessel vascular lesions were found. There were no significant differences between three groups. There were no significant differences between Group Group IGT and Group T2DM.Conclusion IGR,similar to T2DM,can cause severe vessel lesions.OGTt test is important in the early diagnosis of patients with abnormal glucose metabolism.
