Title: The investigation of the curative effect of benazepril combined with hydrochlorothiazide on left ventricular reconstitution in patients with essential hypertension
Abstract: OBJECTIVE The investigation of the curative effect of benazepril combined with hydrochlorothiazide on left ventricular reconstitution in patients with essential hypertension.METHODS There were 30 cases of hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy, who oral administration of benazepril 10mg and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg for 4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks. The changes of blood pressure and cardiac morphological changes in the situation were observed.RESULTS The systolic pressure and diastolic pressure were decreased significantly after treatment with benazepril and hydrochlorothiazide after 4 weeks(P0.01).The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVDD),the left atrial anteroposterior diameter(LAD),the interventricular septum thickness(IVST),and the left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LVPWT)had a downward trend after 4 weeks(P0.01),however,the Left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV)had no change significantly.CONCLUSION Treatment with benazepril combined with hydrochlorothiazide may well controlled blood pressure, and can effectively reverse the leftventricular reconstitution.
