Title: A New Species of the Genus Sinopodisma (Orthoptera:Acridoidea:Catantopidae) from Jiangxi Province
Abstract: In the present paper, a new species of Sinopodisma Chang, 1940 from Jiangxi Province, China is described. All type specimens are deposited in the Biology Museum, Sun Yatsen University.Sinopodisma sanqingshana Liang et Jia, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~8) This new species is closed to Sinopodisma bidenta Liang, 1989. It differs the latter in(male): 1) posterior margin of pronotum with relatively wide emargination medially; 2) prozona 2.50~2.80(2.60) times as long as metazoan; 3) elytra narrower, 3 times as long as wide, nearly reaching or passing the posterior margin of tympanal organ; 4) hind femur of both sexes reddish; 5) centre of circus shallow concave apically. Length of body: ♂17.50~19.50 mm, ♀21.50~27.00 mm; length of pronotum: ♂4.00~4.50 mm, ♀4.50~5.50 mm; length of elytra: ♂11.00~11.50 mm, ♀12.50~ 13.50 mm. Holotype: ♂, Mt. Sanqing, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, 21~24-Ⅸ-2006, collected by XIE Wei-cai; Paratypes: 3♂♂, 4♀♀, same data as holotype.
