Title: Clinical effect of carvedilol and enalapril on chronic heart failure caused by rheumatic heart disease
Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of carvedilol and enalapril on chronic heart failure(CHF) caused by rheumatic heart disease (RHD).Methods Seventy two RHD patients with CHF were randomly divided into observation group (n=36) and control group (n=36).The control group was treated with a conventional regimen, while the observation group was treated with carvedilol and enalapril on basement of the conventional regimen. Results Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD) in the control group were significantly lower than that of the control group. Left ventricular ejection fraction in the observation group was much higher (P0.05); The effective rate of the observation group (90.9%)was higher than that of the control group(63.6%) with statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion Combination therapy of carvedilol and enalapril is effective on patients with CHF caused by RHD,which can inhibits ventricular remodeling.
