Title: Expression and clinical significance of miR-100 and miR-148a in lung cancer cells and tissues
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of miR-100 and miR-148 a in lung cancer cells and tissues. Methods RT-PCR method was used to detect the expression of miR-100 and miR-148 a in lung cancer cell lines NCI-H1299,NCI-H358,H460,A549 and normal human bronchial epithelial cell line HBE,and in the lung cancer tissues and adjacent tissues. To analyze the relationship between the expression of miR-100 and miR-148 a and clinicopathological parameters of lung cancer. Results Compared with HBE cells,miR-100 expression in NCI-H1299,NCIH358 and A549 increased significantly,decreased in H460,all P 0. 05; the expression of miR-148 a in NCI-H358 and H460 increased,decreased in A549,all P 0. 05. Compared to non-tumor tissues,miR-100 expression was reduced in lung cancer,but the difference was not statistically significant( P = 0. 400); while the expression of miR-148 a was significantly increased( P = 0. 036). miR-100 expression in lung cancer tissue with lymph node metastasis was lower than that in lung cancer tissue without lymph node metastasis( P = 0. 016). Conclusions The expression of miR-148 a,miR-100 were aberrantly changed in lung cancer cells. miR-100 expression decreased in lung cancer tissues,miR-148 a increased,which both maight be involved in the tumorigenesis of lung cancer.
