Title: Efficacy and safety of sufentanil with propacetamol for intravenous analgesia after upper abdominal surgery
Abstract: Aim:To investigate the efficacy and safety of sufentanil and propacetamol for intravenous analgesia after upper abdominal surgery. Methods:A total of 60 patients (ASAⅠ~Ⅱ) scheduled to undergo abdominal surgery under general anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups:sufentanil with propacetamol group (groupⅠ,n=30),sufentanil group (groupⅡ,n=30).After operation, patients in groupⅠorⅡ received 20 g/L of propacetamol 100 mL or 0.15 μg /kg of sufentanil respectively and used patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) for 48 h. In groupⅠorⅡ,the analgesia solution were composed of 1 μg /kg or 2 μg /kg of sufentanil with 100 mL of normal saline diluted. The analgesia score at 2,6,10,24,48 h postoperatively were assessed by Prince-Henry score. The sedation score,pMA,fH,fR,and pO2 of the patients were recorded. The adverse reactions were also recorded during analgesia. Results:In the two groups, the analgesia score were less than 2 at each time points(P0.05),and the superior rates of analgesia were 82% and 88% respectively(P0.05). In group Ⅱ,the number of cases whose sedation scores were 2 was more than that in group Ⅰ (P0.05). The respiratory and circulative function of all patients were stable during analgesia. In group Ⅰ,the incidence of adverse reaction(10.0%) was lower than that in group Ⅱ(33.3%)(P0.05).Conclusion:The analgesic effect of sufentanil and propacetamol is effective, safe, and feasible for patients after upper abdominal surgery.
