Title: Postoperative analgesia effect of sufentanil in different modality of patient-controlled analgesia in urology surgery
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the postoperative analgesia effect of sufentanil in different modality of patient-controlled analgesia for patients undergoing urology surgery. Methods: Eighty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients undergone urology surgery were randomly divided into group A(PCIA)and B(PECA) (n=40 each). Patients in group A received sufentanil 100 μg + 100 ml normal saline while those in group B were administered sufentanil 50 μg+0.75% bupivacaine 15 ml+100 ml normal saline(two groups at a rate of 2 ml/h with PCA 0.5 ml/15 min). BP, ECG and SpO-2 were continuously monitored during postoperation. Postoperative pain was assessed by VAS score at 4,8,12,24 and 48 hours after operation with observation of adverse effects. Results: There was a satisfactory analgesia rate in each group, but group A got low scores of pain(VAS) than group B(P0.05), and scores of sedation in group B were lower than that of group A. No significant difference was seen among two groups on the rate of nausea, vomiting and heart and respiratory rate. Conclusion: The findings suggest that postoperative analgesia with sufentanil can provide satisfactory postoperative pain relief with less adverse effects for patients undergoing urology surgery.
