Title: Ambulatory blood pressure parameters and target organ damage in primary hypertension patients
Abstract: Objectives To investigate the relation between 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure variability and the target organ damage of primary hypertension patients. Methods 140 patients with primary hypertension patients were enrolled in the study. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.32 cases with disappeared blood pressure variability were compared with 108 cases with normal variability. We investigated the complications, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure.Cerebrovascular disease, left ventricular hypertrophy retrospectively. Results The incidence rates of Cerebrovascular disease and Renal failure were significant different (P0.05=. There were significant difference in left ventricular hypertrophy, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure(P0.01=.There were also significant difference in complicating by coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, diabetes, atrial fibrillation(P0.01=. Hyperlipidemia, and smoking(P0.05=. Conclusion There were more complications and more target organ damages in the primary hypertension patients with disappeared blood pressure variability.
