Title: A model of test design for larger scale on water hammer in a pressure pipe of hydropower station
Abstract: The water hammer in a pressure pipe in prototype can be in terms of theory simulated in a model,based on the gravity similarity and elastic material similarity. However,it is difficult to select suitable material of model pipes for larger model scale. A new design method of time distorted model of water hammer in a pressure pipe of hydropower station is suggested in this paper,and the model scale relationship is verified by the graphic method of calculating water hammer pressure.The model of water hammer in the pressure pipe of Nuozhadu hydropower station is designed and tested.
