Title: Clinical Observation on the Effect of Sufentanil in Postoperative Patient Controlled Intravenous Analgesia after Abdominal Surgery
Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical effect of postoperative patient controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) with sufentanil in patients received abdominal surgery. Methods 60 patients with ASA Ⅰ~Ⅱ,scheduled for abdominal surgery under general anesthesia, were randomized into three groups, with 20 cases for each: Sufentanil 1.0 mg/ml and fentanil 1.0 mg/ml was applied to PCIA in group SF and group F respectively, and pethidine was given by intermittent intramuscular injection in group C without PCIA.PCIA was administered with load dose 2.5 ml,subsequent bolus of 1 ml with lockout time 20 minutes and background infusion of 2 ml/h.The analgesic effect was evaluated by visual analog scale(VAS) at 8,12,24,48 hours after operation.Heart rate(HR) and blood pressure(BP) were also recorded before operation,at the end of the operation,24 hours and 48 hours after operation. Results There was significant difference in VAS scores at each time point among three groups, and the sequence of descending was group C,group F and group SF(P0.01 or P0.05).Compared with group C,all the SBP,DBP and HR was remarkable lower at the end of operation and 24 hours postoperatively in both group SF and group F(P0.05).There was no statistic difference in the hemodynamic parameters between group SF and group F(P0.05).No side effect of nausea, vomitting and respiratory depression was found in both group SF and F.Conclusion Sufentanil is a safe and effective analgesic agent for PCIA after abdominal surgery, furthermore,it can provide haemodynamic stability commendably.
