Title: Analysis of Curative Effect of Estrogen Combined with Metronidazole in the Treatment of Atrophic Vaginitis
Abstract: Objective To study the clinical effect of estrogen combined with metronidazole in treating atrophic vaginitis, and provide a reference for clinical scientific and rational drug utilization. Methods 120 cases of patients with atrophic vaginitis admitted to our hospital between January 2011 and July 2013 were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, 60 in each. The control group was given metronidazole treatment and the experimental group was given estrogen combined with metronidazole treatment. The clinical effect and adverse reaction were both observed and analyzed. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the experimental group(98.33%) was higher than that of the control group(51.67%), and there was statistically difference(P0.05). PH value of vaginal cleanliness level in varying degrees had improved after treatment, and vaginal cleanliness of 90.0%patients in the experimental group and that of 43.3% patients in the control group reached Ⅰ~Ⅱ grade, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05); PH value of 28.3% patients in the control group and that of 73.3% in the experimental group were lower than 5.0, and the former was obviously less that the latter, and there was statistically difference(P0.05). Conclusion Clinical treatment of estrogen combined with metronidazole for atrophic vaginitis can significantly improve clinical outcomes, improve patient vaginal cleanliness and PH value. It can be used as a preferred treatment regimen in patients with atrophic vaginitis.
