Title: Research on Application of TCM Combination with Western Medicine in Treatment of Acute Bowel Obstruction
Abstract: Objective: To explore the curative effect of combined traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of acute intestinal obstruction. Methods: 60 cases of acute intestinal obstruction treated from June 2010 to June 2013 in our hospital,were randomly divided into two groups. 30 cases in the control group took the pure Western medicine treatment and 30 cases of trial group were treated by integrative Chinese and Western medicine. Differences of clinical effects were compared between the two groups,and evaluation of hospitalization and treatment satisfaction was carried out. Results: The clinical efficiency of the trial group was 80%,higher than 50% in the control group and there was statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). The exhaust time, hospitalization days and cost of experimental group were all lower than those of the control group and there was statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). The satisfactory rate of the trail group was 93. 3%,higher than 70% of the control group and there was statistical difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Integrated traditional and Western medicine had significant effect on acute intestinal obstruction and high clinical efficiency. It can avoid the pain of the patients with operation. At the same time,number of days of hospitalization and cost are low with higher treatment satisfaction. It can improve the quality of life and treatment compliance of patients.
