Abstract: Translating from Chinese into English is both a change of the two languages and a communication of the two cultures. Therefore, how to deal with cultural differences in translation is a question that deserves close investigation. Using idiomatic expressions of the target language in translation and adopting mainly literal translation as well as other translating techniques can precisely express the meaning, form and style of the source language.
