Abstract:Within the pedagogy subject,discussions on the relationship between educational theory and educational practice in education excessively emphasize the separation of educational theory from educational...Within the pedagogy subject,discussions on the relationship between educational theory and educational practice in education excessively emphasize the separation of educational theory from educational practice,and bring a lot of criticism on educational theory workers concerning their theoretical construction.However,we find that the irrationality of educational practice is another important reason for the separation after examining the nature of educational practice.The situation of educational theory in educational practice should not be considered as a sufficient condition for evaluating the success and failure of the educational theory.The reasonableness of educational practice requires all the subjects involved in educational practice to democratically and deliberatively discuss the nature,contents and aims of education and to reach a consensus on the fair and feasible principles of cooperation so as to construct and choose the right educational theory.Therefore,the reasonableness of educational practice definitely rejects the orientation of utilitarianism and excessive nationalism in education,which is also the basic characteristic of a good educational theory.Read More
