Title: Clinical Study of Correlation between C-reactive Protein,Peripheral White Blood Cell Count,Neutrophil and the Severity of Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship between C-reactive protein(CRP),peripheral white blood cell count(WBC),neutrophil count(NEU)and the severity of coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods CRP,WBC and NEU were determined in 53 cases of patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)(group A),58 cases with unstable angina(UA)(group B),72 cases with stable angina(SA)(group C)and 52 healthy controls(group D).The three groups were compared CRP,WBC,NEU levels with each other. Results CRP,WBC and NEU in AMI group were all significant higher than those of UA group,SA group and control group(P0.01).Moreover,the three indexes in group A,group B were also significantly higher than control group(P0.05).Conclusion Serum CRP and peripheral WBC of patients with coronary heart diseases were higher than those of healthy people. So according to serum CRP and peripheral WBC can assess the severity of clinical coronary heart disease patients,in addition, serum CRP and peripheral WBC had important value in the disease risk stratification and prognosis.
