Title: Quantitative analysis of residual tumor blood for hepatocellular carcinoma after complex intervention with contrast enhanced ultrasound
Abstract: Objective To investigate the value of time-intensity parameters of contrast enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) for residual tumor blood supply for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) after complex intervention. Methods Thirty HCC patients with 33 tumors were examined with CEUS after TACE and percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI),the therapeutic effects were evaluated. The residual tumor blood supply parameters after TACE/PEI were analyzed with time-intensity curve of CEUS.Results CEUS showed complete necrosis in 3 tumors with diameter less than 3 cm after TACE/PEI.In other 30 lesions with residual tumors, the arrival time and enhanced intensity were not statistically different, while statistical difference of the areas under the curve was found before and after treatment(P0.05).No difference about time-intensity parameters was detected during the following-up(P0.05).Conclusion CEUS can not only help to assess HCC necrosis after TACE/PEI treatment, but also to impersonally analyze parameters of residual tumor blood supply.
