Title: Relationship between plasma concentration of C-reactive protein in type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic nephropathies
Abstract: Objective:To observe the plasma concentration of C-reactive protein (CRP) in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) with/without diabetic nephroprathies(DN),and explore the influences of CRP in the genesis and development of them. Methods:We selected 98 patients in our hospital and divided them into 2 groups: normal control group and T2DM group, including simple T2DM and diabetic nephroprathies.in addition,we measured the plasma CRP with ELISA.Results:The plasma CRP concentration in the control group was lower than that in T2DM group, and the level in simple T2DM patients was lower than that in the diabetic nephropathy patients, with an obviously decreased tendency, and the significant difference was found in the plasma CRP concentration among groups(P0.05). The correlation analysis showed that the plasma CRP concentration was positively correlated with FPG,LDL-C,BMI,negatively correlated with HDL-C,but not correlated with age,TC、BP and HOMA-IR.Conclusion:There may be relation between plasma concentrations of CRP and the occurrence of T2DM and DN. CRP can be taken as the index for the early diagnosis、treatment and prediction of prognosis in the patients with T2DM and DN.
