Title: Investigation on the Correlation between C-reactive Protein and Diabetic Nephropathy
Abstract: Objective To investigate the correlation between C-reactive protein(CRP)and the development of diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods According to the quantitation of urinary albumin(MAU)during 24 hours,80 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were divided into simple diabetes mellitus(SDM)group, early diabetic nephropathy(EDN)group and clinical diabetic nephropathy(CDN)group, and 30 cases of health examination were as controls. The level of serum CRP,urinary albumin and other biochemical indicator were measured in all selected objects.Serum CRP was compared statistically and correlation analysis was carried out among four groups. Results Compared with control group,Serum CRP in three groups of diabetes mellitus was significantly increased(P0.05).The level of serum CRP in EDN and CDN groups was significantly higher than that in SDM group(P0.05).However,the CRP in CDN group was also significantly greater than that in EDN group(P0.05).And correlation analysis showed a significant positive correlation between the level of serum CRP and MAU(r=0.485,P0.01).Conclusion The levels of serum CRP in patients with diabetes mellitus was significant correlation with DN.Accompany the development of DN,the levels of serum CRP increased gradually, which could predict the development of DN.
