Title: Clinical observaton of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with buprenorphine
Abstract: Objective To observe the afficacy and side effects of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) with buprenorphine. Methods Eight patients underwet abdorminal surgery under epidural anesthesia were divided two groups with 40 cases each.PCIA was carried out with buprenorphine 1.5 mg in group D or fentaniyl 1 mg in group F,which was diluted in normal saline 100 ml and granisetron 3 mg was added in.PCIA was set at constent pumping dose of 2 ml/h,with a bolus dose of 0.5 ml and locked time 15 min.VAS pain and Ramsay sidation scores were recorded at 4,8,12,24 and 48 h after operation. The number compressed by patient and side effect during analgesia were recorded as well. Results A satisfectory analgesia was obtained in two groups. There were no any significant differences in VAS and Ramsay scores and side effects between two groups.ConclusonPCIA with buprenorphine is as effective as that with fentanyl.
