Title: Recognization and identification of fractional antigens from adult worms and eggs by sera of rabbits infected with Schistosoma japonicum in different stages of disease
Abstract: In order to investigate the key functional antigen related to Th1/ Th2 polarization by identifing fractional antigens from adult worms and eggs with sera of rabbits infected with Schistosoma japonicum in different stages of disease, both adult worm and egg antigens were prepared and the SDS-PAGE and Western blotting were used to analyze and identify the different fractions of antigens with sera in different stage. The results showed that 11 kDa,37 kDa,57 kDa,79 kDa,95 kDa fractions of adult worms were recognized serum antibodies taken 6-20 weeks after infection;while 10 kDa,18 kDa,41 kDa,47 kDa,74 kDa fractions of egg antigens were recognized serum antibodies, taken 6-20 weeks after infection 25 kDa,32 kDa were recognized by serum antibodies taken 6-20 weeks after infection. These findings suggest that these functional proteins were the key functional antigens, which may be related to infection stage and Th2 polarization in hosts infected with Schistosoma japonicum.
