Title: Diagnostic Value of Combined Detection of of Serum AFP, CEA, CA-50, CA-199 on Primary Hepatic Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To explore the value of the combined detection of the tumor marker serum AFP, CEA, CA-50, CA-199 on the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma. Methods The thirty-two cases of primary hepatic carcinoma were chosen and the serum AFP(RIA),CEA(RIA),CA-50(IRMA) and CA-199(IRMA) were tested. Results The positive coincidence rate of the combined detection of serum AFP, CEA, CA-50, CA-199 in the thirty-two cases of primary hepatic carcinoma was 100% while that of the individual item measurement was AFP 68.8%( P 0 01), CEA 15 6%( P 0 001),CA-50 78 1%( P 0 05),CA-199 75% ( P 0 05) respectively. Among the ten cases of the primary hepatic carcinoma with AFP negative, the positive testing results were obtained: CEA two cases(20%), CA-50 nine cases(90%) and CA-199 eight ones(80%).Conclusions The combined detection of the four tumor markers serum AFP, CEA, CA-50,CA-199 is better than that of the individual test on the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma. The positice coincidence rate of the CA-50, CA-199 on primary hepatic carcinoma with negative AFP is higher while that of the CEA is lower with less diagnostic significance.
