Title: Efficacy of Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Eye Drops for Dry Eyes after Eximer Laser in-situ Keratomileusis(LASIK)
Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops in combination with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Eye Drops for dry eye after undergoing eximer laser in-situ keratomileusis(LASIK).METHODS: 62 cases(100 eyes) of patients with dry eye after undergoing LASIK were randomly divided into two groups: 32 cases(53 eyes) in the treatment group were treated with Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops in combination with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Eye Drops, and 30 cases(47 eyes) in the control group with Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops alone(4 times/day,1~2 drops/time) for 2 months. The drug efficacy was observed for 1~3 months since 1 week after the initiation of medication.RESULTS: The total effective rate in the treatment group vs.the control group was 98.11% vs.89.36%(P0.05),and the mean course of disease was(21.53±3.02) days vs.(32.95±2.29) days(P 0.05).CONCLUSION: Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops in combination with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Eye Drops can shorten the course of disease and speed up the healing of the corneal epithelium in patients with dry eye after undergoing LASIK.
