Title: DETERMINATION OF IL-10 LEVEL OF SERUM IN PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL CARCINOMA AND ITS CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE
Abstract: Objective:To study the IL 10 level of serum and its clinical significance in patients with colorectal carcinoma.Methods:Serum IL 10 in pre operated and post operated 56 patients with colorectal carcinoma were measured by ELISA.Results:The IL 10 level in patients with colorectal cancer were significantly higher than that of controls. The post operated patients showed a lower IL 10 level than the pre operated patients. The pre operated IL 10 level of serum in patients with colorectal cancinoma were significantly higher in advanced stage of the disease.Conclusion:The pre operated IL 10 level of serum had higher relation with Dukes stage and may be an useful method for judging disease prognosis and treatment effect in patients with colorectal cancinoma.
