Title: Serum Tissue Factor Level in Patients with Colorectal and Its Clinical Significance
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum levels of tissue factor and the diagnoses and prognosis in colorectal cancer patients.Methods:Pre-operative serum of TF was measured by ELISA in 105 normal controls.TF level of pre-operative serum in 100 colorectal cancer patients was measured as well as other clinicopathologic data, such as serum tumor markers CEA、CA242、CA19-9.44 patients were followed up post-operation and the survival rate of TF negative and positive follow ups were compared. Results:The level of serum TF was higher in 95 colorectal cancers(1.35±1.14)than that of normal controls(0.17±0.15)and was not related to patient's sex, lymph node metastases and pathologic grade(P0.05),but it was correlated with pathologic stage(P0.05);The sensitivity of TF was 64%,higher than serum tumor marker CEA、CA19-9 and CA242(P0.01)in Dukes phases;and the survival rate of 44 follow-up cases of colorectal cancer patients with positive TF serum was significantly lower than that of the patient with negative TF.Conclusion:Serum TF level may be expreesed highly in the serum of colorectal cancer and may be considered as a new clinical prognostic factor of colorectal cancer.
