Title: The kinetic blood glucose level in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with HbA1c<7% monitored by Minimed continuous glucose monitor system
Abstract: Objective To continuously monitor the level of blood glucose in type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)patients with hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)7% by Minimed continuous glucose monitor system(CGMS)and evaluate the kinetic blood glucose level. Methods The level of blood glucose in 80 type 2 DM patients with HbA1c7% were continuously monitored during 72 h.Results The blood glucose was monitored well in 80 patients. There was good correlation between blood glucose level of CGMS and blood glucose self-monitoring(BGSM).The duration time for blood glucose levels in 3.9~10.0 mmol/L was(56.2±11.7)%;The duration time for blood glucose levels above 13.9 mmol/L was(18.1±7.7)%.Asymptomatic hypoglycemia was also found in the study. Conclusions The apparent hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia exist in well-controlled type 2 diabetic patients, and CGMS can offer much more information about blood glucose excursion, better accuracy and instructal virtue on treatment.
