Title: Investigation on effect of nebulized budesonide inhalation combined with sequential therapy in treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in 112 children cases
Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of inhalation of nebulized budesonide combined with sequential therapy in treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia in children. Methods 224 cases of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia were randomly divided into two groups. The 112 children in control group were treated with sequential therapy while the other 112 children in treatment group were treated with sequential therapy combined with inhalation therapy of nebulized budesonide suspension. The efficacy and adverse reaction of the treatment in both groups was investigated. Results The efficacy of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.05). The average recovery time of fever, cough and pulmonary rales and the hospitalization duration in treatment group were shorter than those in control group(P0.01). No adverse reaction related to budesonide suspension inhalation was found in treatment group during the treatment. Conclusion Inhalation of nebulized budesonide combined with sequential therapy can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms and shorten the course of disease with proper safety in treatment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.
