Title: Investigation on Knowledge and Attitude among Medical College Students
Abstract: [Objective]To understand AIDS knowledge and attitudes among medical students,in order to provide evidences for the health education.[Methods]during 2007,a questionnaire survey was conducted among parts of the college students from one grade to four in the college by using cluster sampling method.[Results]949 students were surveyed.Over 95% of the students know the exact name,pathogens and the attacking systems and transmission route of AIDS.The medical professionals grasp the basic knowledge of AIDS better than the non-medical professionals;92.73%of the students believe that AIDS patients should be concerned about sympathy,but only 31.14% express that they will continue to stay with people infected with AIDS in the same dormitory.About 60% of the students can not treat AIDS patients correctly.Most of the medical students are willing to participate in AIDS education and propaganda.[Conclusion]Awareness and attitude of AIDS basic knowledge among medical students was better and it was better in medical professionals than that in non-medical professionals.
