Title: Effect of combining with rehabilitation and education on gross motor growth and activities of daily living about school-age children with cerebral palsy
Abstract: Objective To study the effect of combining with rehabilitation and education on gross motor growth and activities of daily living about school-age children with cerebral palsy. Methods 58 children with cerebral palsy were randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group consists of rehabilitation doctors,special school′s teachers and subject teachers were given the rehabilitation.The control group consisted of special school′ s teachers and subject teachers conducts trainings were given the rehabilitation.Before trainings and 12 months after training,the D and E domains and activities of daily living(ADL) were assessed by GMFM-88. Results The scores of ADL which had the remarkable differences of pre-treatment and post-treatment in the experimental group and the control group had statistically significant(P0.05).The scores of GMFM-88 which had the remarkable differences of pre-treatment and posttreatment in the two groups had statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion The school-age children with cerebral palsy who combined with rehabilitation and education can effectively improve the ability on gross motor function and activities of daily living.
