Title: Efficacy of hemocoagulase agkistrodon on the hemostasis in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the hemostatic efficacy of hemocoagulase agkistrodon (HCA) in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery. Methods Sixty cases of patients underwent elective nasal endoscopic surgery were randomly divided into two groups (n=30 each):observation group (group R) and control group (group F).HCA (2 U) were given in group R fifteen minutes before the operation, while none were administered in group F.Surgery blood loss was recorded in both groups, the hemostatic effect of HCA was evaluated. Results In group R the total effective were 28 casess.accounting for 93.3%,while of group F the total effective were 21 cases, accounting for 70.0%.The hemostatic efficacy was significantly better in group R than that of group F (P 0.05).Conclusion Hemocoagulase agkistrodon has better hemostatic function in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.
