Title: Analysis on Reproductive Health Status of Undergraduates in Yunnan
Abstract: Objective To investigate the situation and influential factors of reproductive health of undergraduates in Yunnan,and to provide evidence for health promotion in colleges.Methods By using self-filed anonymous questionnaires,1 147 students from 6 universities in Kunming were investigated on attitudes,behavior,knowledge or skills about reproductive health,and ways of obtaining sex knowledge.Results The results showed 80.1% students could accept the antemarital sex;23.2%students(266)had ever experienced sex.In addition,percent of having sex experience in boys(33.8%)was significantly higher than that in girls(17.1%)(P0.01).Gender difference was not found in views of sex safety and protection skills.Only 52.9% students used condoms every time.Any more,29.5% students had correct answers about ways of HIV transmission.Still more,only 8% students obtained sex knowledge from school and while only 3% from parents.Conclusion Undergraduates are open to sex on the one hand,their knowledge or skills about sex are poor on the other hand.Channels of obtaining the correlative information are limited.This shows that the undergraduates are the high-risk groups in sexual health.
