Title: Expression of Cholecystokinin-B Receptor in Human Colon Cancer
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of cholecystokinin-B (CCK-B)/gastrin receptor genes in human colon cancer tissue and the matched resection margin. Methods Semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method was used to detect CCK-B receptor expression in the colon cancer tissue and the resection margin of 23 patients. Results The positive rate of CCK-B receptor expression in the cancer tissue was 87.0%,while positive rate in resection margin was 60.8%; the mean in the cancer tissue was 0.704±0.134,while the mean in the resection margin was 0.215±0.077,there was significant difference between them (P0.05).Conclusion The up-regulation expression of CCK-B receptor in colon cancer suggests CCK-B receptor play an important role in the pathway of carcinogenesis.
