Title: PREPARATION AND PERFORMANCE OF NEW TYPE CHELATING FLOCCULANT
Abstract: The double function chelating ligand cation PAM for treating mineral dressing wastewater was prepared from polyacrylate, formaldehyde solution and triethyleneteraamine according to Mannich-Reaction. The product has the chelate effect and flocculants effect after functional group with N was grafted to the PAM chain. Its ability of treating wastewater was improved. The percentage removal of mercury was chosen as the qualities index to ensure the fittest reaction condition. The influence of temperature, the pH of the polymer system, the contact time and the stock ration on the flocculating performance were studied. It was showed that the best reaction temperature, pH value, contact time, stock ration were 35℃, 9, 3.5 h and 1∶0.54∶0.34 respectively. Flocculant was used for the treatment of wastewater contained heavy metal ion, copper and mercury ,the treated water could meet the state permitted emission standards.
