Title: Synthesis and Application of Amino-grafted Cationic Polyacrylamide Flocculant
Abstract: A kind of amino-cationic organic macromolecular flocculant(XPAM) was prepared by using PAM as main chain and grafting formaldehyde and diethylenetriamine on amidogen radicals under alkaline condition. In the experiment research, different factors such as ratio of materials, temperature, reaction time,pH and so on were investigated. The optimum conditions for synthesizing XPAM were determined as follows: the ratio of PAM to formaldehyde and to diethylenetriamine was 1 ∶ 0.7 ∶ 0.84,T1 was 1 h,T2 was 3 h,pH was 9,and temperature ranged from 45 ℃ to 50 ℃.XPAM was used for treating lead-containing wastewater, and the obtained optimum conditions were as follows: flocculant dosage was 2 mL,settling time was 20 min,and pH was 3 to 6.Under the optimum conditions, the removal rate of lead ion from lead-containing wastewater was 90%.
