Title: Effectiveness of Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Training in the Treatment of Dysphagia Caused by Stroke
Abstract: Objective:To observe clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture on dysphagia poststroke.Methods:Sixty-six cases were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=36)and the control group(n=30).The patients in the treatment group were treated with combination of acupuncture and rehabilitation training,and those in the control group with simple rehabilitation training.By using drinking test,the therapeutic effectiveness was assessed before and after treatment.Results:Thirty days after treatment,the drinking test scores were improved to varying degrees as compared with those before treatment in the two groups(P0.01).The effectiveness was more satisfactory in the treatment group than that in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture therapy can effectively increase the therapeutic effectiveness of rehabilitation on dysphagia.
