Title: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty for the treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of retroperitoneal laparoscopic pyeloplasty for the treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction(UPJO). Method:The clinical data of 65patients with single UPJO who underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic Anderson-Hynes dismembered pyeloplasty were retrospectively reviewed. There were 41 males and 24 females.Their ages ranged from 18 to 56 years.39 patients'lesions were on the left side and 26 on the right side. All patients had some extent backache. The history ranged from 6 to 42 months. Result:Retroperitoneal pyeloplasty was performed successfully in all 65 cases,no transversion case.18 cases were confirmed to be compressed by crossing vessels or fiber bundles,47 patients were primary UPJO.The mean operative time was 150 min(ranged from 115 to 212 min),the blood loss ranged from 30 to 50 ml(mean 37 ml).The hospital stay ranged from 7 to 10 days.2 patience had urine leak.No other complications happened.During the follow up from 6 to 48 months,B ultrasound showed the hydronephrosis relieved,IVU indicated no anastomotic stoma stricture of UPJ developed, backache of all cases relieved. Conclusion:Retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty for the treatment of UPJO is safe and efficient with advantages of less complications. It maybe become the gold standard for surgical treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction in the future.
