Title: Retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered anderson hynes pyeloplasty for the treatment of UPJO
Abstract: Objective To assess the feasibility and results of retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty in the treatment of ureteropelvic junction obstruction(UPJO).Methods Eight cases with UPJO underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty.Results All the operations had successed.The mean operating time was 130 minutes(range from 110 to 165),the mean blood loss was 55 ml(range from 30 to 90) and the mean postoperative hospitalization days was 10 days(range from 7 to 15).No open conversions were required Radiographic assessment by intravenous urography 3~6 months after the procedure showed good results.Conclusion Retroperitoneal laparoscopic dismembered Anderson-Hynes pyeloplasty is a safe and effective way to treat the UPJO while providing a minimally invasive procedure.
