Title: Expression of multidrug resistant proteins and analysis of stereology parameter measurements in colorectal carcinoma and their clinical significances
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of multidrug resistance in colorectal carcinoma and to analyze stereology the data of the colorectal carcinoma malignant cell. Methods Immunohistochemical staining(EnVision method) was used to evaluate the expression of glutathione S-transferaseπ(GST-π),topoisomerase Ⅱ(Topo Ⅱ) and multidrug resistance as sociated protein in cancer tissues from 63 patients with colorectal carcinoma. The colorectal carcinoma malignant cell were measured with image analyze system under microscope. The data for the stereological analysis included Vvn,Svn,入,Nv,Kv,k and s.Differences of the parameters were compared among the different tumor grade. Results The positive rate of GST-π,Topo Ⅱ and multidrug resistance as sociated protein were 45(71.43%),39(61.90%),19(30.16%),respectively.The expression of all multidrug resistance factors was not significantly correlated with sex, age, lymph node metastases, clinical staging or the survival rate.GST-π,Topo Ⅱ and MRP were significant correlated with various grade of cell. Conclusion The higher co-expression rate and positive relativity indicate multidrug resistance in colorectal carcinoma is affected by various multidrug resistance factors. The expression of multidrug resistance is closely correlated with the differentiation in colorectal carcinoma. The Vvn and Svn in colorectal carcinoma.tumor cell are important indexes of cellular abnormity, which provides a support for clinical morphological diagnosis.
