Title: Changes of C-reactive Protein Levels in Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Different Course of Desease
Abstract: Objective To study the changes of C-reactive protein(CRP) in type 2 diabetes patients with different courses, and to discuss related factors. Methods 98 patients with Y2DM were divided into three groups according to the course of disease.Group A,course5 years;Group B,course during 5-15 years and group C,course≥15 years. The High-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) levels of the three groups were detected by latex boost the immune rate of bulk-color Turbidimetry.Compare the differences of hs-CRP in the three groups and analyze the relevance between hs-CRP levels and the course of the disease, complications and metabolic indicators. Results Compared with Group A and B,CRP levels in Group C were significantly higher [(3.64 ± 0.81) vs.(2.64 ± 0.99)mg/L,P0.05;(3.64±0.81) vs.(3.13±0.56)mg/L,P0.05].Single factor line analysis showed that the serum hs-CRP levels were positively correlated with diabetes duration(r=0.403,P=0.000),the number of complications(r=0.383,P=0.000),systolic blood pressure(SBP)(r=0.232,P=0.021),but were negatively correlated with high-density lipoprotein(HDL)(r=-0.300,P=0.003).Multivariate linear correlation analysis also obtained the above results. Conclusion In type 2 diabetic patients, the serum hs-CRP level is increased with the course of disease and the number of complications and is closely related to the occurrence and development of macrovascular and microvascular complications.
