Title: Clinical research of serum apolipoprotein A5 level in patients with chronic renal failure
Abstract: Objective To examine the level and clinical significance of serum apolipoproteins A5 (ApoA5) in chronic renal failure(CRF) patients. Methods A total of 77 CRF patients were divided into 3 groups. Group A:31 diabetic CRF patients;Group B:46 nondiabetic CRF patients;Group C:35 people as control group. Apolipoproteins level were measured by ELISA, creatinine, albumin, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, Lp(a), were also measured, and the correlation between each index was analyzed. Results Serum TG and Lp(a) levels of group A were significantly higher than that of group B and group C(t=3.24,2.89,2.47,3.21, P0.05), Serum LDL-C and ApoB levels of group B were significantly lower than that of group A and group C(t=2.71,3.62,4.20,3.58, P0.05);ApoC3 levels of group A and group B were significantly higher than that of group C(t=2.59,3.02, P0.05), HDL-C and ApoA1 levels of group A and group B were significantly lower than that of group C(t=2.55,2.81,2.39,2.70, P0.05);ApoA5 levels of group A and group B were significantly lower than that of group C(t=3.68,2.95, P0.05). Serum ApoA5 levels were negatively correlated to TG(r=-0.37, P0.05), and positively correlated to HDL-C and ApoA1(r=0.62,0.47, P0.05). Conclusions Low serum level of ApoA5 may plays a important role in adjusting TG level in diabetic CRF.
