Title: Expression of interleukin-6 receptor and glycoprotein 130 correlates with lymph node metastasis for patients with breast carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To study the correlation between lymph node metastasis and the expression of interleukin-6 receptor (IL-6R)、glycoprotein 130 (gp130) in breast cancerous tissues. Methods The axillary lymph nodes were examinated by pathological method to determine wether metastasis or not,Reverse Transcription-PCR was used to detect expression of IL-6R、gp130 mRNA in breast cancerous tissues.Result In the IL-6R group, the rate of IL-6R positive expression with axillary lymph node metastasis was 37.500%(9/24) and the rate without was 84.314%(43/51), the difference was more significant(χ 2=16.82,P0.001).In the gp130 group, the rate of gp130 positive expression with axillary lymph node metastasis was 25.000%(6/24)and the rate without was 78.431%(40/51),the difference was more significant(χ 2=19.65,P0.001).Conclusion Expression of IL-6R、gp130 is significant correlation with lymph node metastasis and prognosis in breast carcinoma.
