Title: The diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT in adrenal cortical adenoma
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT in adrenal cortical adenoma. Methods:CT manifestations of patients with adrenal cortical adenoma confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results:In this work,21 cases (26 nodules) were diagnosed with primary aldosterone-producing adenoma, including 18 nodules on the left and 8 nodules on the right. 9 cases (9 nodules) were diagnosed with cortisol adenoma, including 4 cases on the right and 5 cases on the left. 14 nodules of aldosterone adenoma were less than 1 cm and 12 nodules were greater than or equal to 1cm. The diameter of the largest cortisol adenoma was 4 cm and the smallest one was 1.5 cm. Conclusion:The manifestrations of multi-slice spiral CT in adrenal cortex adenoma have certain characteristics and multi-planar reconstruction and the enhanced scan will be helpful in positioning of cortical adenoma and determining the nature of the tumor.
