Title: Clinical significance of serum α_1-MG,Hcy and Cys C detection in type 2 diabetic patients with nephropathy
Abstract: Objective To investigate the significance of serum α1-microglobulin(α1-MG),homocysteine(Hcy) and cystatin C(Cys C) detection in type 2 diabetic patients with nephropathy(DN).Methods The changes of serum α1-MG,Hcy and Cys C levels were detected in 97 patients with type 2 diabetes and 32 healthy controls from March 2011 to February 2012.The diabetic patients were divided into the clinical diabetic nephropathy group(group A,33 cases),the early diabetic nephropathy group(group B,35 cases) and the simple diabetic group(group C,29 cases). Results Serum α1-MG,Hcy and Cys C levels in the diabetic group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05).Serum α1-MG,Hcy and Cys C levels in the group C,B and A groups were increased gradually, statistical difference existed among various groups(P0.05).Conclusion Serum α1-MG,Hcy and Cys C in DN patients are significantly increased, which is closely related with the disease progress.
