Title: A New Benzophenone Derivatives from Hypericum sampsonii
Abstract: In this study, the chemical constituents of Hypericum sampsonii were isolated and purified using silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography.Six compounds were isolated from the chloroform extract of H.sampsonii.By using various spectroscopic techniques including UV,IR,high resolution MS,1D and 2D-NMR,these compounds were identified and elucidated as 2,6-Dihydroxy-4,3′,5′-Trihymethoxybenzophenone(1),1,3,6-Trihydroxy-2-methylanthraquinone(2),kaempferol(3),luteolin(4),3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid ethyl ester(5) and β-sitosterol(6).To the best of the author's knowledge, compound 1 is a novel compound, compound 2 and 5 are isolated from the plant for the first time.
